With more than 20 years experience in the noise and vibration measurement, Phoenix NV offers a broad variety of testing and measurement services. For transportation noise analysis, answering the question of "How loud is it?" is the first step. Full 24 hour site surveys of transportation noise to determine the noise level in accordance with most local standards are common place at Phoenix NV.When applicable, short term noise measurements are made.Environmental noise measurements from a variety of sources are made including air-conditioning equipment, emergency generators, cooling towers, construction equipment, excavating equipment, etc. We are capable of measuring the level of most any noise source.
Sound transmission class (STC) and impact insulation class (IIC) are the two most common building code issues relating to noise. Phoenix NV is capable of measuring both values in existing buildings for determination of compliance.
For vibration sensitive equipment, Phoenix NV provides vibration measurement surveys to determine the current level of vibration in a floor system. This is especially helpful in determining the feasibility of a room for housing specifically vibration sensitive equipment. Phoenix also offers remedial design work for rooms which do not meet specifications.
